Subsidiary of Wingspan Global

Ms. Dames continues her global quests for the understanding and extension of culture and business internationally. She will be visiting Belize and South Africa during 2019.

A Dream Realized

Ms. Dames began a Doctorate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova, as a logical extension of her lifelong commitment to an interest in human diversity. She experienced an internship with the Martin Luther King Center for Nonviolence. This affiliation started with a stint at the Conflict Center for Resolution in Kenya, Africa and was completed with a visit to The King Nonviolence Center in Havana, Cuba. She delivered presentations on “Conflict between Genders” and “Whose Music is it Anyway: The Language of Conflict” to faculty and staff at Egerton, University, during her time in Kenya.

Other international quests include the selection of twenty-two millennial entrepreneurs in Nigeria, Africa after hearing their business plan presentations. The participants were provided workshops while in Nigeria and later hosted in United States to continue their business studies at Barry University, Miami Shores, FL. The international delegation was recognized by Commissioners Barbara Jordan and Commission Chairman Dennis Moss. Each and hosting team participants received proclamations from Miami-Dade County, FL.

Wingspan Global, LLC

Ms. Dames for many years was desirous of offering conflict resolution or relative training in a developing county. She realized her dream when invited to train ex-militants in the Nigerian Amnesty Program in Nigeria, Africa. The oil crisis in Nigeria prompted the government to offer fighting Nigerians a concession package in exchange for each agreeing to disarm. The selected team trained participants in Kingian Transformational Nonviolence. What was to be a two-week experience grew into an eighteen-month lifetime memory.
